Local Groups to Host Showing of The Last Mountain

What:        A screening of The Last Mountain.Thisdocumentary, released in 2011, explores the issues surrounding mountaintop removal coal mining and features members and staff of OVEC, a Huntington-based environmental and social justice group. The film includes footage of Robert Kennedy Jr.’s visits to West Virginia to bolster the group’s efforts. Rogert Ebert named the film on his list of top ten documentaries for 2011.

Where:      On the campus of  Marshall University, in Room 101 of the Robert C. Byrd Biotechnology Building (on Third Avenue Ave. between 17th and 18th Streets)
