State advised to address climate
change -
West Virginia needs climate plan, legislators told
(while it is a good idea
to attempt to clean up air emissions from burning coal,
the pollutants don't magically disappear. There never
has been, nor never will be "clean" coal --coal's dirty
when you dig it, dirty when you clean it for market,
dirty when you transport it, dirty when you burn it,
dirty when you dispose of the ash, and it sure
dirties up politics.) -
