3/8/2003Counties affected by coal truck billBy The Associated Press Senate Bill 583 would increase coal truck weight limits on "coal resource transportation roads'' designated by the state Division of Highways. On these roads, trucks as heavy as 126,000 pounds -- a 120,000 pound limit plus a 5 percent variance -- can travel. Counties and areas that would be covered by the law are: --Boone County --Clay County: Routes 4 and 16 --Fayette County --Greenbrier County: Routes west of Sam Black Church and southwest to the Summers County line --Lincoln County --Logan County --Kanwha County: Roads in Washington, Malden, Louden and Cabin Creek districts --McDowell County --Mercer County --Mingo County --Nicholas County: Routes 19, 20, 39, 41 and 55 --Raleigh County --Wayne County --Webster County: Routes 9, 20 and 82 --Wyoming County
