WEB SITE FOR MID-ATLANTIC REGION of EPA
The EPA mid-Atlantic region unveiled its new
informational National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) web site
on Feb. 24. The web site is an additional resource for the
public and other resource agencies on issues involving NEPA.
Visitors can access the site at here. You can view the
current status of Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) under
review by the Region as well as comment letters. In addition,
the web site provides comprehensive information on projects
marked for expedited agency review in the region (such as: ICC
and the Philadelphia Airport Expansion) and those broader
environmental concerns, such as Mountaintop Mining/Valley Fills,
and the Introduction of Non-native Oysters into the Chesapeake
Bay). Streamlining of transportation projects is also presented
with the introduction of the mid-Atlantic Transportation &
Environmental Streamlining Framework Process: MATE process.
