The panel on "The Human Impacts of Coal Combustion" was moderated by Ulla Reeves of the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.
Panelists were Tony Delucia, national chairman of the board of directors of the American Lung Association, Lisa Evans of the Clean Air Task Force and Joel Schwartz, pictured here, who is an epidemiologist with the Harvard School of Public Health.

Joel Schwartz reminds us all that the dangers of burning coal have been known for a long, long time.
Joel said, "Particles from coal (combustion) are killing people and they are killing a lot of people."

OVEC's Janet Fout still has a few more minutes to refine her speech.
