April 17 - 18: 2009 Sustainable Fair 2009, Stonewall Resort ~ 940 Resort Drive, Roanoke, WV

Features:

  • Keynote Speaker: Jeff Barrie, nationally known and award-winning filmmaker. A screening of his latest film edition of ‘Kilowatt Ours’ will be included. A Question & Answer period will follow at the conclusion of the film.

  • Workshops & Demonstrations will be presented on Renewable Energy, Green Building, Transportation and ‘Slow Food’.

  • Stonewall Resort Executive Chef Dale Hawkins and other local chefs present organically and locally grown food during the fair.

  • Jane Birdsong serves as the curator for our ‘Sustainability Art Exhibit’. Join us Friday evening for the art celebration, and visit the exhibit throughout the event. Features several local artists, all of whom have been juried into the exhibit.

  • Sustainable Booths include alternative energy, tourism, green businesses, green building, health, food and farming, artwork and more. The 40 booth exhibits are juried into the fair and feature high quality work.

  • ‘A Sustainable Feast’ Benefit Dinner Saturday evening features only the finest in organic & locally grown delights, created by Dale Hawkins, Stonewall Resort’s Executive Chef.

  • Live music by local musicians.

  • Silent Auction featuring an array of wonderful products, services, gifts.
