Take Action:
Save the Buffer Zone
As you will
recall, the Bush administration has been seeking to change a
mining rule that, if enforced, would help protect streams -
and the people and wildlife that rely on clean water - from
mountaintop removal mining. Local citizen groups and national
environmental groups joined together to rally their members. We
generated tens of thousands of comments against the proposed rule
change.
Now, the Bush administration is poised to
give the coal industry a parting gift by finalizing the rule change,
despite citizen outcry. Please take the time to comment again. Read
more and take the easy web action
here.
