Pray for the Mountains

On Friday, Oct. 4, you are invited to attend an Interfaith Prayer Service focused on mountaintop removal mining, organized by OVEC, the Catholic Committee of Appalachia’s Social Justice Offices and the Dioceses of Lexington and Wheeling-Charleston, along with Kentuckians for the Commonwealth. The service will include a prayer for healing for the land, as well as for the people and all life affected by MTR. There will be two simultaneous services, one in West Virginia and one in Kentucky, in view of MTR devastation. Call Janet at the OVEC office at 304-522-0246 for more info.
